ENOCH
A CJ RECCHIA FILM
"THERE, AMONGST A PRISON OF STARS-
HE WAITS FOR HER ARRIVAL..."
Trapped within a celestial void, a lost and desperate man confronts a mysterious figure. Guided by the hands of the Nephilim, Enoch undergoes a vague and peculiar task;
to create life out of nothing.
Inspired by two existing characters from Old Testament literature, Enoch tells a nightmarish tale of sacrifice and beguilement. Taking on a physical form, the subconscious mind becomes a void, or "prison of stars" that hosts the setting for the film. Through mysticism, and dark arrays of imagery, Enoch questions the dependency of faith, and explores the shrouded depths of a possible, existing afterlife.

Deaths outlet into some celestial world strains the thought process of even the most unreligious people. However, Enoch pushes the great mysteries even further...
Why would one want to escape? And if so, to where?
Enoch (Berrios) serves The Nephilim (MacGillivray) in exchange for spiritual enlightenment. Based on the theory of God and the unexplainable, the film exists as an outsiders approach in understanding the mysteries of religious content. Horror and suspense in Enoch expands the idea that an all-seeing, infallible being exists, and rules over both mortal and immortal worlds. In addition, the film's ideas of despair and irony mock humaintys obsession with technology, and shuns those seeking intellectual guidance from religious sources.
