FALLEN-EMBRACE-TEXT-01.png

Created in collaboration between both artists CJ Recchia and Natalie Carroll, Fallen Embrace is a series that symbolizes a dark portrayal of loneliness, suffering, and abandonment, brought on by their haunting pasts. These images were composed in the unknown reaches of Western Pennsylvania's dense forests and landscapes. Everything from the handwritten logo, to the wardrobes, and illustrations are original pieces created together by both artists to form the final project. A number of antique frames were collected and refurbished in preparation for housing the images. The idea of having these photos live inside antiques was to create some what of a time portal, adding to the uncertainty of the setting and the time period in which the series provokes.
